Published: 08 October 2020

In celebration of National AHP Day, our Trust have organised a fun-filled, information-packed Allied Health Professionals Week, which will run through 12-18 October.

As part of this week, we will be hosting a number of virtual events and sharing content to introduce you to our AHPs and what they do.

What is an Allied Health Professional?

An Allied Health Professional (AHP) is someone who works in healthcare. They provide a range of diagnostic, technical, therapeutic and support services in fields ranging from medicine, to pharmacy and nursing.

What kind of roles does this include?

There are 14 core Allied Health Professions.

  • Chiropodists/podiatrists
  • Dietitians
  • Occupational therapists
