Dorset Care Record Joins Interweave Partnership
Published: 17 September 2026
Humber Teaching NHS Foundation Trust are pleased to announce the joining of NHS Dorset Integrated Care Board (ICB) to the Interweave Partnership with their Dorset Care Record.
Joining Interweave's portfolio of six other NHS regions and adding over 800,000 citizens, the new partnership brings the total population covered to over 10 million people. This is a significant milestone in Interweave’s progress towards their mission to improve joined-up care across the country.
The Dorset Care Record is a county-wide partnership of health and social care organisations, including hospitals and GPs. For the people who live locally, it’s a safe way to keep all of their electronic health and social care information in one place, making it quicker and easier for the appropriate health and social care professionals, across a variety of services, to view information, make safe decisions, and provide the right care, at the right time.
Ian Clucas, Deputy CIO at Interweave, said, “We’re thrilled to formally introduce Dorset to the Interweave Partnership. It has been a positive experience working with our colleagues in Dorset over the past months, who share our vision of providing digitally enhanced and inclusive care.
Thank you to everyone who has worked hard on this project, enabling us to reach this significant milestone. We very much look forward to continuing and building on this progress together as we move forwards.”
Interweave has been uniquely designed to utilise modern technologies and is delivered by our in-house team, which is a part of Humber Teaching NHS Foundation Trust. With support from our supply chain partners, the code used to develop Interweave is open-source and the Intellectual Property is owned by the NHS.
By working together with several Integrated Care Systems (ICS) across the NHS landscape nationally, the Interweave Partnership enables better care coordination to improve the health and social care outcomes for people across the country.
The Interweave Partnership has recently been shortlisted in the Health Tech Newspaper (HTN) Awards 2026 for ‘Partnership of the Year’. Recognising the strength of the partnership and the progress made to date, to improve health and social care experiences across various populations and communities.
Similarly, Interweave also won the HSJ Digital Award for ‘Driving Interoperability and Standards Through Digital’ at the 2026 ceremony.
