Tommy Coyle to Speak at Public NHS Event Ahead of Final Fight

Humber Teaching NHS Foundation Trust will be hosting guest speaker and professional boxer Tommy Coyle at their Annual Members Meeting (AMM) and Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Thursday 1 October 2026. The event will be held at the Lecture Theatre at the Trust’s Willerby Hill site and is open to the public to attend. 

The annual event provides attendees an opportunity to learn more about the Trust's achievements, future plans and the work taking place across services to support the ambitions of the NHS 10 Year Plan. This year they are also welcoming Hull-born, former professional boxer and community advocate Tommy Coyle, who will join the event for a live question-and-answer session. Tommy, a former lightweight Commonwealth champion, will share his experiences of supporting local communities and discuss the positive impact physical activity can have on mental health and wellbeing. 

The doors open at 12pm on Thursday 1 October, beginning with a marketplace event showcasing 20 Trust services and teams demonstrating their work and highlighting the key innovations taking place across the Trust. Visitors will have the chance to meet staff and learn more about local services.

The formal Annual Members Meeting and Annual General Meeting will take place from 2pm to 4pm, where attendees will hear updates on the Trust's performance over the past year, its financial position and future priorities. This will also include Tommy’s question and answer session with Trust Chair Caroline Flint.

Caroline, along with the Trust's Chief Executive, Michele Moran, will celebrate the incredible teams who make a real difference to patients every day and reflect on the achievements of the past 12 months.

The event is free to attend and free parking is available on site. The location is at Trust Headquarters Willerby Hill, Willerby, Hull HU10 6ED.
