Humber Recovery College is hosting enrolment days in Hull and Bridlington, to encourage our local communities to improve their overall health and wellbeing in 2023.

Enrolment days will be set up at accessible venues and will include information, giveaways, and resources to take home. Our friendly Recovery College team will be on hand to answer any questions you may have, and it can be an open space for you to chat about your journey over a brew and a biscuit.

The enrolment days will also launch our Recovery College’s latest prospectus, so you know all about the opportunities available to you, to get involved in the diverse activities and courses in Spring.

The Hull enrolment day will take place at St Stephens in the City Centre, on 8th February 2023. Our team will be available between 10am and 2pm down the middle aisle of the shopping centre.

The Bridlington enrolment day will take place in Bridlington Train Station, on 9th February 2023. Our team will be available between 9:30am and 1:30pm in HEY Mind’s Old Parcel’s Office. Train station staff will be able to point you in the right direction if you’re unsure where this is on the day.

Our Recovery College is an online platform designed to host courses, sessions and workshops based around improving mental wellbeing, such as coping strategies for anxiety and depression, employability skills and mindfulness.

Our dedicated team also go out into Hull and East Riding communities, working in partnership with local organisations to provide engaging in-person sessions such as boxing, tai chi, and arts and crafts. The dates and locations for these will be included in the new prospectus, and available to register for on the Recovery College’s website.

All you need to do is create a login account. This process is completely free of charge.

The Recovery College uses an educational model, focusing on lived experience and personal strengths to promote good wellbeing within our communities. The team aims to challenge stigmas associated with mental health, and to facilitate a space for conversation.

Our platform has been created in true co-production as students, tutors, mental health professionals and members of the public with lived experience have come together to design and deliver the innovative and creative sessions and courses on offer.

We welcome people from all walks of life. Regardless of whether you consider yourself to have mental health difficulties or not, there is something for everyone to enjoy and learn from.
