Our Wellbeing Recovery Employment Service is hosting a range of employment events across the East Riding for those facing health and wellbeing related barriers to employment and education.

The events will take place on:

- Monday 6 March – The Courtyard, Boothferry Road, Goole

- Wednesday 8 March – The Meridian Centre, Queen Street, Withernsea

- Thursday 16 March – Bridlington Spa, South Marine Drive, Bridlington

Anyone who feels they are facing barriers to employment and education, and who lives in Hull or the East Riding of Yorkshire, is welcome to drop in at the events at any time between 10:30am and 2:30pm, on the dates stated above.

When attending these events, our expert teams will be available to talk to people about their employment needs and journeys, and how they might wish to make a positive change to their situation. Our team will provide advice and guidance, showcasing the support on offer within our local communities.

These events are a collaboration between local health and wellbeing services, community services and recruiting employers.

Fernanda Marbrow, Support Manager in the Wellbeing Recovery Employment Service at Humber Teaching NHS Foundation Trust, said:

“We are dedicated to supporting people. It is our goal to increase your confidence, reduce any feelings of anxiety and guide you to move closer towards your goals – whether this is paid employment, increasing skills, or simply improving your situation socially.

Our upcoming events are exciting as they bring local health services, community services, and local employers, together under one roof. Positive health and wellbeing are tied intrinsically to positive economic activity and, by working together locally, we believe we can make a huge difference.”

Our Humber Wellbeing Recovery Employment Service supports those facing mental health and other barriers to employment, education, or basic skills development. Our team of Employment Specialists and Recovery College Practitioners work together with people in the community to reduce employment-based anxieties, increase confidence and achieve individual goals.

We provide face-to-face as well as online support and have a range of educational and mental health-based courses available.

We look forward to meeting you at one of our upcoming events – everyone is welcome.
