Important Update - Fire Incident Within the Grounds of Malton Hospital

We can confirm there has been a fire within the grounds of Malton Hospital.

As a precaution, all patients, visitors and colleagues were safely evacuated from the hospital. There have been no reports of any injuries.

The fire has now been extinguished by North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service, and we are working closely with them and our partner organisations to support their response.

Malton Hospital, including the Urgent Treatment Centre, is currently closed. We ask patients not to attend the hospital at this time.

We are working with partner agencies to repatriate evacuated patients, and we will update their families and carers individually with more information as this is confirmed.
