Safeguarding
Safeguarding Adults and Children is everyone’s responsibility.
Humber Teaching NHS Foundation Trust take the safeguarding of our patients seriously, recognising that everybody has the right to be safe from abuse and neglect. Health services along with many other public services have a duty to prevent and act upon safeguarding concerns. If we are worried about you or someone close to you, and believe there is a safeguarding concern, we may ask you for more information or ask other services for help. We may also ask if we can make a referral to the local authority or other services, who can ensure you and/or those close to you are given the support you need to be safe.
The Humber Teaching NHS Foundation Trust Safeguarding Team works Monday-Friday 09:00-17:00 and provides support and advice to staff and patients on safeguarding matters. The team is responsible for responding to all allegations against people in position of trust, working for Humber Teaching NHS Foundation Trust.
