We believe that the health and wellbeing of the people we serve and the services we provide can be significantly improved through supporting, enabling and participating in the development of the health research evidence base.

What We Do
The Research team’s work with patients, carers, clinicians, external partners, and the public includes:
- Research delivery (including consenting of research participants and data collection for NIHR Portfolio studies)
- Research advice and support
- Management of research funding
- Development of research infrastructure
- Research partnership building
- Research promotion
- Assessment of capacity and capability’ for studies (part of HRA approval process)
- Contractual review and oversight for research studies
- Research information management and reporting
