Improve your health and wellbeing at your own pace with the Humber Recovery and Wellbeing College

Published: 04 October 2021 to 31 December 2098

The Humber Recovery and Wellbeing College is a free online service offered by Humber Teaching NHS Foundation Trust, to provide a range of informal and welcoming courses that support people in maintaining good mental and physical health.

The courses are co-produced by mental health professionals and students working together, to reflect the real-life experiences of students in teaching.

The workshops and courses are taught by qualified Practitioners, who all have lived experience of mental health and recovery. Topics include things like yoga, tai chi, breathing exercises and coping techniques. The teams are also introducing podcasts to the platform in the coming weeks.

These dedicated experts actively listen to and work alongside students, volunteers, community organisations and other mental health professionals to make sure all courses are jointly designed, produced and facilitated.

With this in mind, anyone can attend the courses and workshops available. They are open to people who have or have not experienced mental health challenges and you do not need a referral to get involved.

Anyone who attends any of the courses is treated as an equal participant no matter their background and ability. Courses are suitable for both physical and mental health and aim to improve the overall health and wellbeing of the individual involved.
