Humber Recovery and Wellbeing College
The Recovery and Wellbeing College takes an educational approach to managing mental health and wellbeing.
The College is modelled on the three core principles of recovery:
· Hope (believing in the possibility of achieving self-defined goals),
· Opportunity (pursuing meaningful activity),
· Control (becoming an expert in a person’s own self-care and utilising personal strengths).
What does the Humber Recovery and Wellbeing College do?
· The College facilitates a range of free, informal and welcoming face to face sessions, online self-paced courses and podcasts that support people in maintaining good mental and physical health.
· Sessions and courses are coproduced with our students, enabling us to reflect and learn from real life experiences.
· The College is open to everyone and we support our students to set their own recovery goals, providing strategies & techniques that can be taken away and used in their everyday lives as a way to promote self-management.
Youth Recovery and Wellbeing College
Our College has expanded to provide a dedicated Recovery & Wellbeing College for 11-18 year olds. We are young person led, exploring creative and empowering ways to improve your wellbeing. We provide fun, creative and inclusive face to face and virtual opportunities for young people, working to the same core principles of recovery as the adult College.
· Youth R&WC is available to 11-18 years olds
· At 18 an individual is able to choose whether to access the youth or adult college.
