Supporting Young Minds: Youth Mental Health Awareness Day at Humber Teaching NHS Foundation Trust

Published: 19 September 2025

Today (19 September) marks Youth Mental Health Awareness Day, a vital opportunity to shine a light on the mental health challenges faced by young people and to reaffirm our commitment to supporting their wellbeing.

At the Trust, we recognise that mental health is just as important as physical health, especially during the formative years of adolescence and early adulthood. With increasing pressures from school, social media, relationships, and the transition into adulthood, many young people are navigating complex emotional landscapes. It’s more important than ever that they feel heard, supported, and empowered.

This awareness day encourages open conversations, reduces stigma, and promotes access to resources that can make a real difference. Whether it’s through our Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS), school-based support, or community outreach, our teams are dedicated to providing compassionate, professional care tailored to the unique needs of young people.
