The Trust is very pleased to announce that Sarah Rockliff has been appointed as Associate Director of Psychological Professions and will take up the post officially from 1st January 2026. This appointment follows a rigorous and competitive selection process, during which Sarah distinguished herself among a strong group of candidates.

Sarah is a Consultant Forensic Psychologist, with 20 years’ experience in the field. She has worked for Humber Teaching NHS Foundation Trust since 2011, after completing her training in HM Prison Service, and working with independent healthcare providers. Sarah brings a wealth of experience and works with different agencies, including being a member of the Parole Board. Sarah has particular interests in trauma-informed organisational practices, risk management and staff well-being.  Away from work, Sarah enjoys being outdoors – especially in the mountains, whether walking up one or snowboarding down one!

Sarah has most recently been working as the Interim Associate Director of Psychology. Having done an excellent job of leading psychology during this time, we are pleased that she will take up this brand-new post, as professional lead for all of the Psychological Professions. Sarah will be working to bring all of the 15 different Psychological Professions in the Trust together into one professional group, so keep your eyes peeled for updates, and chances to get involved and shape this new way of working.

Psychologists play a vital role in Humber Teaching NHS Foundation Trust, bringing a unique combination of clinical expertise, scientific training and therapeutic skills that directly improve patient care, service quality and staff practice.

Dr Kwame Fofie, Executive Medical Director, said, “Sarah’s appointment marks an exciting step forward in strengthening psychological leadership across the Trust, and we look forward to the positive impact she will bring across the Trust.”

Congratulations to Sarah.
