Safer Sleep Week 2026: Supporting Families Across Hull and East Riding

Published: 05 March 2026

Hull and East Riding families are invited to take part in Safer Sleep Week 2026, running from 9 - 15th March 2026. The week aims to raise awareness of vital safer sleep advice for babies and help give parents and carers the confidence to create a safe sleeping environment.

Throughout the week, local professionals will be sharing key messages and practical guidance to support families in reducing the risk of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS).

Drop-In sessions will be available as part of the campaign, and families are invited to attend one of the following events in either Bridlington or Hull to meet with professionals:

- Monday 9 March – Centre of Excellence, Hessle

- Wednesday 11 March – Hull City Hall

Both events will provide opportunities to speak with professionals, ask questions, receive advice and be involved in some fun interactive games and activities.

Whether you are expecting a baby, are a new parent, or support families in the community, everyone is welcome to come along, ask questions, and get involved.

Help is available to ensure every baby in Hull and East Riding has the safest possible start in life.
