Trust tops the region in national league tables
Published: 09 September 2025

The NHS Oversight Framework, which reviews performance across all NHS organisations, has been published to show how acute, non-acute and ambulance Trusts are performing against a range of criteria.
Humber Teaching NHS Foundation Trust has been ranked in segment two of four in the non-acute provider league table, narrowly missing the top category. The result reflects the quality of care and commitment of its staff, reinforcing the Trust’s strong national standing and placing it as the highest performer in the Humber and North Yorkshire Integrated Care Board area.
Trusts are grouped separately into acute, non-acute and ambulance categories to ensure fair comparison, with each placed into one of four performance segments. A non-acute NHS Trust provides community, mental health and learning disability services, including inpatient wards, but does not run large general hospitals.
Humber Teaching NHS Foundation Trust is ranked 22nd nationally amongst mental health, learning disability and community Trust’s (non-acute), maintaining a strong position against its peers.
Michele Moran, Chief Executive at Humber Teaching NHS Foundation Trust, said, “We welcome the publication of the NHS Oversight Framework and are pleased to have been placed in segment two. This reflects the strength of our services and the dedication of our staff. We are proud to be the highest ranked Trust in our Integrated Care Board and 22nd nationally for mental health, community and learning disability Trusts.”
When considering the Trust’s position on segment two and their aims for continuous improvement she reflected, “We are clear on our areas of focus and have plans in place to make further improvements over the coming year. Our priority remains delivering high-quality, compassionate care for the people we serve.”
The NHS Oversight Framework is updated quarterly, with the next leagues due to be made available for public to view in three months’ time. Trusts are assessed against key performance criteria, closely aligned with the national ambitions for the NHS, such as waiting times and delivery of national priorities.
Humber Teaching NHS Foundation Trust’s latest position underlines its growing profile nationally and its leading role in mental health, learning disability and community care across the region.
