Malton Hospital Donor Wall Unveiling Event this Friday

On Friday 19 September, Health Stars will be officially opening the Seeds of Support Donor Wall at Malton Community Hospital. Public are being invited to drop in for the opening event to meet the Health Stars team and view the brand-new Donor Wall.

This inspiring new feature is part of the Better Days Appeal, aiming to fund the creation of a new dementia-friendly day room on Fitzwilliam Ward. The day room will provide a dedicated space for patients, visitors and staff to relax, connect and engage in therapeutic activities. Health Stars aim to provide the extras that make a real difference.

At the heart of this appeal is a specially designed, flower-themed donor wall that will bloom with the names of the loved one of the generous supporters. Donations start at just £25 and each donor will also receive a thank you card and commemorative seeds to grow their own flowers at home.

The event opens to public at 2pm in Ellerby’s Café within Malton Community Hospital, followed by the unveiling of the Donor Wall at 2:30pm on the hospital’s Fitzwilliam Ward. The event concludes at 4pm.

The event is a great opportunity to see the work taking place within the hospital to make it even better for patients and their visitors as well as staff.
