77Th Birthday

In celebration of the NHS’s 77th birthday, our Chief Executive Michele Moran visited the Community Mental Health Team in Beverley.

The team provides a recovery-focused service for people in and around Beverley living with enduring mental health conditions. They provide a specialist service with interventions and care packages which reflect an individual’s own unique needs, promoting diversity inclusion and respect for all people from all sections of society regardless of race, disability, gender, sexual orientation, culture or religion.

During her visit, Michele met with several team members, including Specialist Nurse Claire Antley, the longest serving team member, Jodie Wake, a Registered Nurse Degree Apprentice and Ian Collins, the Team Manager. She was also joined by Sarah Smyth, Executive Director of Nursing in the Trust, who herself joined Humber this year and has been documenting how impressed she is with the wealth of knowledge and patient-centred services provided across the Trust.

This visit brought together colleagues at different stages of their NHS careers, showcasing the rich diversity and longevity within our workforce and providing a reflection of the NHS as an inclusive and supportive employer.

Happy 77th Birthday, NHS!
