We are pleased to announce that we received two high commendation awards at the prestigious Health Service Journal (HSJ) Awards 2022, for the NHS Communications Initiative of the Year and Integrated Care System of the Year.

Our fantastic Specialist Treatment and Recovery Service (STaRS) were also successfully shortlisted for Community and Primary Care Provider of the Year.

The HSJ Awards continue to be the most esteemed accolade of healthcare service excellence in the UK. The 2022 Awards not only adhered to their 42-year-old values of sharing best practice, improving patient outcomes, and innovating drivers of better service, but will most importantly provided a well-deserved thanks to the sector.

Our Communications team were highly commended in the NHS Communications Initiative of the Year category, which is awarded to a clear and targeted communications project which can have a positive impact on staff morale, wellbeing, retention and recruitment.

Our innovative recruitment marketing campaign, ‘Humbelievable’, was the focus of the entry, which aims to find, attract, engage, and nurture talent before they applied for a job supporting the wider workforce to recruit crucial NHS staff.

As part of the Humber and North Yorkshire Health and Care Partnership, we also celebrated a high commendation for their wider mental health programme focusing on maternal mental health and the overall integrated care framework for children and young people. The award category ‘Integrated Care System of the Year’ recognises systems which are succeeding in delivering more integrated services and bring together partners from across the public sector, as well as from the voluntary and community sector.

Our Specialist Treatment and Recovery Service (STaRS) is based at Townend Court in Hull, and the Community and Primary Care Provider of the Year shortlist recognised the value of their mental health rehabilitation interventions for adults who have complex and challenging mental health needs.

Michele Moran, Chief Executive, said:

“We are absolutely delighted to have received two high commendations at the HSJ Awards ceremony in London. It was a fantastic night celebrating the very best in health and social care, and I am proud of our services for playing a significant role in this.

Thank you to all of my colleagues who work tirelessly year-round and well done to our three shortlists on this great achievement.”
