We’re pleased to announce that the newly refurbished Whitby Tower Block is now open.
This work is part of the larger Whitby Community Hospital renovation, which is set to complete in Spring 2022.
The new Tower Block contains services from Humber Teaching NHS Foundation Trust, York and Scarborough Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, Harrogate and District NHS Foundation Trust, and Tees, Esk and Wear Valleys NHS Foundation Trust.
We will therefore be working with our system partners to deliver a range of services from this newly refurbished area of the hospital, including our new Urgent Treatment Centre, Podiatry Services, Physiotherapy, Audiology and much more.
The Tower Block will also be home to our Memorial Ward, where those who need to stay on the ward with us, and their families, will have access to accessible and comfortable spaces and facilities.
This is a fantastic investment in our communities as the refurbishment brings our local hospital into the new age with modern equipment and facilities, which will be fit for purpose for years to come.
