Inpatient and community services for people who have a learning disability

Graham, Stella and Chris at LD event, 2010

The underpinning principles of delivering our Trust's learning disability services are driven by "the need to support people with a learning disability to live an ordinary life in the community alongside fellow citizens, as described by human rights legislation and the Disability Discrimination Act."(Valuing People Now - DOH 2009).

Learning disability services work in partnership with local statutory health, social care and organisations within the independent and voluntary sector across Hull and theEast Riding to ensure a coordination of activities into a singular approach in supporting individuals who have a learning disability and their carers.
