01 October 2018

Humber Teaching NHS Foundation Trust has appointed a new Chief Operating Officer.

Lynn Parkinson has joined the organisation permanently after holding the Interim Chief Operating Officer role since February 2018.

After having the opportunity to get to know Humber and it’s vision for the future Lynn said, “I’m really excited to join Humber Teaching NHS Foundation Trust long term having enjoyed working with the executive management team and the operational team.

“I’m really looking forward to supporting the wide range of service changes that are happening in the Trust such as the new CAMHS Inpatient unit  and with the Executive Team helping the organisation deliver outstanding patient care.”

Lynn has spent her career working in mental health in Leeds and York.

Starting out as a student nurse and working her way up management positions, Lynn worked as Deputy and then Interim Chief Operating Officer at Leeds and York NHS Foundation Trust before joining Humber in early 2018.

Since qualifying as a registered mental health nurse in 1989, Lynn has gained a wealth of experience in a wide variety of clinical services including acute inpatient and community. Lynn also spent a number of years working in eating disorder services.

With a strong background in service improvement and an expertise in applying improvement methodology, Lynn wants  to continue to develop this expertise within the Trust to ensure that our staff are able to continuously improve their services.

Chief Executive, Michele Moran said “I, along with the Board of Directors welcome Lynn and look forward to working with her as we continue to deliver our strategy to be a leading provider of integrated health services.”
