We’re Humbelievable

This represents a Humbelievable opportunity to join one of the most exciting and inspirational award-winning NHS Foundation Trusts in the country.

Rated ‘Good’ by the CQC we provide services across Hull, East Yorkshire, Whitby, Scarborough and Rydale. We provide a diverse range of community services (including therapies), community and inpatient mental health services, learning disability services, healthy lifestyle support and addictions services and a number of primary care services, employing over 2,800 staff across over 70 sites. As a Teaching Trust, we work closely with our major academic partners, nurturing a workforce of tomorrow’s health professionals.

We’re immensely proud of our recent service developments. Our Inspire Unit provides inpatient mental health services to young people in Hull, East Riding of Yorkshire, North Lincolnshire and North-East Lincolnshire. It’s a service that has been shaped with young people at its heart. Set to complete in Summer 2022 the £13.1m renovation of Whitby Community Hospital has continued to progress over the last 12 months and includes our new Urgent Treatment Centre, Podiatry Services, Physiotherapy, Audiology and much more. And we now hold a total of eight GP practice contracts registered to provide care with the Care Quality Commission (CQC).

As an ambassador for the Trust you will work closely with the Chief Executive and Chair to ensure that Trust business is managed as effectively as possible and contribute to the corporate leadership of the Trust as a member of the Executive Management Team. You will also manage and lead the Trust’s Communications and Marketing teams to ensure the objectives that support the overall strategic direction of the Trust are met.

With daily interaction with the Council of Governors, Chief Executive, Executive Directors, Clinical Directors and external partners you will be responsible for developing and maintaining systems at a senior level, providing assurance to the Board that the Trust operates within the laws, regulations and codes of good practice that apply to NHS Foundation Trusts.

We are seeking an exceptional individual who will empower and enable our teams to embed good governance practice. With significant corporate governance experience you will be confident operating at Board level in a complex, regulated environment, with a proven track record of embedding robust governance, assurance and risk management frameworks.

You will be a completer/finisher with excellent interpersonal skills and attention to detail, who will bring a positive influence to our Board, enabling us to provide the very best outcomes for our population on our exciting journey to beyond ‘outstanding’.

We are a forward thinking and dynamic Trust with a real commitment to staff development. We value our staff and invest in them to ensure they have the right skills to deliver outstanding care.

We recognise the positive value of diversity and promotes equality whilst challenging discrimination. We welcome and encourage job applications from people of all backgrounds.

Join our Humbelievable team and you’ll find a Trust committed to supporting you personally and professionally, and that rewards and celebrates your achievements.
