Mill View Lodge is a nine-bedded unit for men and women, with individual en-suite bedrooms and a separate sitting room for female patients.
Our team treats people who are experiencing functional mental health problems (such as depression) and those with memory impairment. As well as nurses, a consultant psychiatrist and healthcare assistant, the team offers occupational therapy, psychological interventions and physiotherapy.
Activities on the unit are co-ordinated to reflect patients' individual needs; they can include board games, a reading group (supported by Mind), shopping and attendance at groups in the community.
Our activities co-ordinator and occupational therapist include activities that incorporate social inclusion and daily living such as collecting the morning paper, visiting the garden centre and washing up.
