Humber Teaching NHS Foundation Trust will hold a jobs fair in Scarborough on Tuesday (17 April) to recruit staff to work in adult community services in the town and Ryedale.

The Trust’s contract to provide the services begins on 1 May and will cover community nursing, physiotherapy and occupational therapy, specialist nursing and other therapies.

Continuing healthcare assessments, frailty, and an elderly medicine outpatients’ service will be delivered from next year.

With managers keen to provide the best possible service, they will host the jobs fair at The Street, in Lower Clark Street, from 10am until 4pm in a bid to recruit high-quality staff.

The Trust is looking for community and district nurses, healthcare assistants and workers, administrative staff, speech and language therapists and other allied health professionals (AHPs), nurses, and AHP’s with specialist knowledge and skills in diabetes, cardiac rehabilitation and home oxygen.

Helen Lambert, the Trust’s Deputy Director of Human Resources and Diversity, said: “We are excited to be holding this event and welcome everyone who has an interest in healthcare and the prospect of working for the Trust to come and meet us to discuss how they can get involved.”

The recruitment team is also seeking expressions of interest from people interested in volunteering for Trust services.

Trust staff will give advice and help potential recruits apply for posts. Interviews will be held on the day if possible.

Helen Cammish, the Trust’s Assistant Care Group Director for Primary Care, Community, Children’s and Learning Disability Services, said: “We look forward to seeing as many potential applicants as possible and hope the day will be informative and productive.”

Anyone interested in attending the event is politely asked to take a form of identification and copies of their curriculum vitae (CV).

For people who will be using sat-navs when travelling to the fair, the postcode for the venue is YO12 7PW.
