Humber Recovery College to hold enrolment days for Summer 2018 courses
06 April 2018

Humber Recovery College is holding two enrolment days to encourage people to take courses on offer in its summer prospectus.

The College, which is run by Humber Teaching NHS Foundation Trust and takes an educational approach to mental wellbeing, will hold the events in Hull and Beverley on Monday 9 and Tuesday 10 April respectively.

Boxing for Health, Caring and Coping, Living with Anxiety and Depression and Foraging and Jam-Making are just some of approximately 50 courses being offered to help people broaden their knowledge and give them the tools needed to become experts in their own care.

Other courses include Assertiveness, Build your Self-Esteem, Crafting for Wellbeing, Creating Effective CVs and Applications, and Mindfulness for Beginners.

College staff have also joined forces with the Yorkshire Wildlife Trust to offer day trips to Flamborough Head and Spurn Point.

A Trust spokesman said: “The courses are innovative and original and we hope people from Hull and Beverley will sign up for them so they can develop or recognise their own talents and build their resilience.

“The College has had fantastic feedback over the past two years and would encourage any previous or potential students to attend the enrolment days to learn more.”

The enrolment days will be held at Princes Quay Shopping Centre (level three) in Princes Dock Street on Monday and at Beverley Library in Champney Street on Tuesday.

Both events will run from 10am until 4pm and College staff will be on hand to assist with enrolment and answer questions.
