Governor Elections

Public Governors are elected by our members and the elections take place annually.

Our Governor Elections are now open.  Nominations to become a Governor are open from 27 September and close on 25 October 2022.

In order to stand for election, you need to be a member of the Trust in a constituency or class for which you are standing. You must also be aged 16 or older at the time of nomination.

Public Governors are elected by our members to work as part of our Council of Governors with our Directors to influence strategy and patient services. 

Please note that most of our Governor meetings are held via Microsoft Teams

We are holding elections to be a Governor for our Trust.

The Trust provides a wide range of health and social care services, including acute, community and forensic mental health services, community services, substance misuse and learning disability services. These services provide support to communities across a large geographical area that
includes Hull, the East Riding of Yorkshire and North Yorkshire.


To stand for election, you must be a member of the Trust, and in the constituency or class for which you are standing. You must also be aged 16 or older at the time of nomination. Please note that most of our meetings are held virtually via Microsoft Teams.


The following Governor vacancies are available:

Hull - 2 seats

East Riding - 1 Seat

Wider Yorkshire & Humber - 1 seat

Staff - 1 Seat (clinical)


Nominations open on Tuesday 27 September 2022 and must be completed and returned by 5pm on Tuesday 25 October 2022. If you are interested in standing, a nomination form can be obtained from:
